Hi im kind of new to this site but I just pulled one out of some ladies garage, It had been there for the last 12 years it has ST1007 stamped on the top left rail of the convertable top. Badges on both fenders and the sticker in the door. We put gas in it and it started right up. Just needs minor restoration all original with 120k on the car. Let me know what you guys think the car is a 1984 HF

Yeah sad and good news guys, Phoenix was Hit with a Nasty hail storm and the passenger fender as well as the passenger door side moulding got destroyed I was able to put her back together with after market body parts I took from my other SI I figured this one was more worthy. Also the rear window got one hole in it. I was to sad to take pictures of it when it was in pieces so my next pics will be of it together. Anyways we did a full service to it..Spark plugs, wires, fuel pump, belts, hoses cranked it up and she purred like a kitten. Today I took it around the block and let me just say I have driven tons of crx's and nothing beats that feeling of having the top down. I plan to restore it all original and keep it as long as I can. Thanks for all the help guys side note: The A/C, heater, Factory stereo and speakers all work great. Oh and for anyone wondering I got the car for $300 I almost had a heart attack and was shaking as I gave her the money. The lady had no idea what this car was. Clean Title one owner smile.gif

Sorry I have not been around or updated this Straman thread in a while, I have been going through a Divorce after 15 years so I have just not had the free time to sit and do everything.

To the new members with Straman's, Welcome to the site and I hope we can help you with anything you need to restore or repair your crx.

As for my Straman it is doing great, I have tucked it in the garage now that winter is coming on. It is running great and I have the interior almost perfect, the car did get a real nice face lift thanks to a wonderful member here on RPR. Special thanks to Mr.Disability(Marcus owner of healtoeauto.com), His old crx had the Mugen body kit installed so he gave me all the body panels off the car and the one piece carbon fiber hood(both fenders, both bumpers, both side skirts, cf hood and molding) all in cherry condition and silver to match my car(hood is cf not silver).

Mikes, i am new to this thing here but looked at your good pics. Whats the story? Did you find yours by accident? Have you been looking for a long time? Where did you see your new to you car for sale? Were the negotiations a stuggleation? Give us some details. Asking price? Where was the car homesteaded? What was your test drive like? Like i said, I am new to this place but yours looks like a story begging to be told so I am asking. Thank you sir.

Doug,]

Here are some pix to input to your photobucket. I finally pulled (towed) her out after 8plus years. Brakes were not locked up after all as I thought. But lowered car and tires are holding pressure (well, 4 days not).

The car does not have the exterrior badge, but finall opend the drivers door and took a pix of the straman label. So the DOM was actually 8/84 from Straman as I estimated. so no need to update. I forgot to look at the Honda DOM. Wil get that to you.

So, the original owner got rear ended. Took it to Straman to have it fixed. He told me Straman upgraded the body support struction to the standards of the later models. I took a pix of the LR underside. So is this the angle piece they added in the later models to help the flexing issue??

Plan's to convert to fuel injection. But a member is going to run me through the carb so I can see if I can get it started. Popped the hood and had all original components down to the plug wires. Even has OEM exhuast pipe (will remove as soon as the engine is working - not sure how rare that part is, but don't want to find out the hard way). also pulled the carpet back under the clutch pedal and it looks factory new except for the insulation particle that feel down there. I washed it using very little water. Had water leak in my antenna (its loose so needs a new gasket). And the bottom corners of the ragtop window are missing 1/2 of stitching. BUt the top looks better than I remembers. I'll be ordering a new top from you and stoweing this one for safe keeping.

Original paint. Must be a lot of crap on Cali highways. There's like over 200 stone chips in the paint on the hood and header.

But definately needs a paint job. Some staining on the paint as well from what looks like brake fluid or something. But I've had it cover covered so don't remember those being there before I stored.

Moisture wise from storage, I think the car did great. Been up on plastic eversince I've owned it. Looking into dehumidifiers for the barn and moisture barriers.

Hope all is going well.

She's now parked in front so I can work the carb. Have not cranked the engine. Need to open the valve cover and dump some oil on came and spray fogging oil into the cylinders. Put a battery in her and the brakelight bumper stopper on the pedal rotted away, so the brakelights stay on.

Good to have you back, WOLFCRX. Also, thanks to greasemonkeyreborne 5x1g's and mikes90ef8 for posting more info. Here is a more concise listing of known cars. Doug, let me know if I missed any or if you see a few that you need more info on. The last half of the cars do not have known ST number, so I assigned them one.

This snapshot is about a month old.....

I'm sorting my photos now, if I knew what car belongs to the number you assigned I would relabel all mine to match. Any way we could figure out how to do this.
