I have desided to put a better rear sway bar on my racecar and will be taking pictures and posting them as I go. I have ordered the same parts that the Kakabox civic has on it.
I am hoping the parts will roll in next week but with Xmas deliveries and all , You never know?
The only difference in my car is that the TOW HOOKS do not bolt onto the frame so I have started to cut the hooks off and holes will need to be drilled for mounting bolts and access holes for the washers and nuts.
Pictures to follow

Chris,
Here's the pic I promised you...it's the lhs pillow block mount. The top "plate" (the frame rail side) of the mount is 4" long...the bottom plate (the slotted pillow block mount) is 6" long.
...the aft edge of the mount (the frame rail plate), as you can see is ~8" from the rear bumper bracket when bolted to the oem tow hook mounting locn.
Cheers!

The sway bar showed up today but they sent the wrong sized arms so I will send them back and get the rite ones sent out. I made some mounts to go on the chassis but am not happy with the welded seam and will try to find some 2x4 steel tube instead.
I also have some paint coming for the underside of the car, I hate an ugly car and even if no one will look under the back, it still needs to be nice and blue

Looked through a couple of extra pictures in your gallery. Did you build your own trailing arms and are those the stock frame mounts for them? JS

The car you were looking at is the MUGEN CRX which has the axle reversed with the pan hard rod on the rear and new trailing arms welded onto the axle. This car is a KING MOTORSPORT vintage GT4 car that only ran for a few years in the 80's but the owner said he is planning on running it in a vintage class.

Here is the area where the tow hook use to be :
I have painted my first coat of paint before the holes are drilled for the mounting brackets
I also picked up the metal 2"x 4" to make the mounts from, I will start that at work on Monday

Today at work I made the mounts for the sway bar pillow blocks to mount up on . I have some pictures in the camera of them painted the same racecar blue color. They look just like the KAKABOX mounts with the slots for the bearing pillow blocks to slide on for adjustment.
I will update a picture when I get a chance.
The next steps
- is to drill and mount the mounts to the frame of the Civic.
- Make mounting bars to weld onto axle
- wait for different sway bar arms from supplier, (wrong ones sent)
- modify arms to length and drill holes
- final step will be the heim jointed connecting bars
I will update a picture when I get a chance.

I cut the other tow hook off today and drilled the holes into the frame rails and cut access holes in the cargo area so it can be bolted together. I did however notice one thing that I had not noticed before - My muffler will need to be re-routed in another manner or it will hit the sway-bar.
I also noticed the frame rails are fairly weak looking so I will sandwich the frame with a plate on the inside. I'll whip those up tomorrow at work.

Installed the main supports and the bar itself and there are pictures here:
You can see in this one how the muffler will need to be moved

Still waiting for the arms to show up and then some welding on the rear axle will have to happen.

Nicely done. I like the 2 x 4 rect tube mounts...
I ordered my bar today...should be here in ~a week.
Cheers!

Finished painting the underside of the rear area and removed the Suspension Techniques rear sway bar today. I will hold onto it until I have tested and am happy with this new setup and then SELL it.
I still need to remove the muffler and then more pictures .
