Could someone, anyone help. I did a devac on my 86 wagon 4wd, and now the 4wd doesn't engage. What did I miss?

My memory is that the '85-early '86 4WD wagons use something with vacuum to control the interlock, to keep it from engaging or dis-engaging under certain conditions.

I left the 4wd actuator with the vacuum lines attached, but there is one line that went to all the other stuff, I hooked it to constant vacuum, but still nothing, I'm not sure if the surge box has too build up vacuum and then when you push the button it releases all that vacuum at once or what, cause the line has a check valve on it.

Make sure the check valve is in the right way.

Figured it out, the check valve was the right way, it just wasn't receiving enough vacuum, I had a T in the line, once I removed the other line and capped off the T, she went into 4wd no problems, thanks for the help though guys...

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.
