Alright time for a small update.

I picked up the car from Zakats. Not totally what I expected but for an 84 I think it's alright. The car will definitely need new interior. Seats are being held in with maybe one bolt. Dash is trash. Headliner hmm have to figure out that one. A little rust. lol Pedals gotta go. Can't wait to get it started.

Today I pulled the old motor apart. Still looked to be in alright shape. Robbed all the bolts and crap off it.
Next I will be redoing the motor mounts with 3m window weld so it will dry by the time it's ready to go in.
Strip the bay. Prep for paint.
When I get the head I'll finish the port job and have Zak put it together lol.
I hope to have this stuff done by next week.

The guy that had this car before Zak was full of FAIL.

The wife and I are officially calling this car THE red car. We see so many 1g/3gs in red and this one is different because its ours. blink.gif LOL plus its the only car we have that's red.

So far I've pulled the dash. Finished the head. All motor mounts are done. (Forgot the rear). Bay is painted. I started putting the motor together and knock on wood but it should be totally together tomorrow and maybe in the car by Monday.

I took plenty of pictures but I can't upload pictures from my phone so. tongue.gif I don't have the net at home so ill have to post them later.

I've rolled this over in my head for a little bit. As of now I should have everything to put the Weber to work. I would however like the fi set up due to the fuel savings. Ill say it I suck at carbs. Ive owned one carb car and it was a dx crx. Im still thankful i didnt burn down my motherinlaws house unlike zacs eyebrows. Oh what to do what to do?

I'd really like to go real big when I get my house. Then the name will be kakaboxs lil sis.

I hear you. I've owned three 1gs and I still miss my first one. This is my first hatch and I'm gonna do it right. Man what did I get myself into?

I removed some stuff but taped up the rest. I didn't do a good job but it looks pretty good.

As for those plates check out the new pics and tell me if those are yours. I can make them too. Mine just dont look that purdy. lol I would have to cut mine with a plasma cutter or bandsaw.

I was so happy to get these out!

Just waiting for small things like: distributor, alternator, smaller battery, dash, fuel pump, a/c o-rings...

How does this sound. I'm thinking about putting the battery in the back on the car. Then i'm going to make a small box to place the extra wires, coil, links in. I'm going to bolt the box where the battery holder used to be. Alright idea? I would put the wires and coil stuff on the inside of the firewall. But, since i'm keeping the a/c I have no room on the inside firewall.

I'm getting excited. I can't wait to get it running. Just waiting on funds to get the pump, oils, distributor, miscellaneous stuff.

Axles in. Most of the wires connected. Got some of my old welding leads out. Should be good to do the battery relocation. Excited!.!

What do you mean? Just an electric pump. 3-7 psi. LOL I don't need a Holley or something. I don't really want to put it in the bay but if I need to I will.
