You need gauges. Lots and lots of gauges. I'm talkin' pillar pods on both sides.

Big 5" monster tach w/LED shift light, oil pressure & temp, EGT, A/F, water temp, tranny temp, etc.

Don't forget the 6-point harness and quick-release steering wheel.

Yes.. I have the gauges and EGT from my last DSM build.. I think this may add x-tra unneeded weight though? function over form is my goal here.. Never can be safe enough I was thinking like 10 point harness' would be better.

Even though you're heading in the right direction with this project, I'm wondering as to why you think a full cage, wheelie bar and parachute would be necessary? None of those things will do anything to benefit your car at its current stage and will just hinder performance due to the added weight. You won't be going fast enough with the EW to need any of those safety requirements and because you don't plan to run the car in any sanctioned events there's no point in purposefully adding weight, plus the traction bars will have minimal effect with the current amount of power that the motor is making. Unless you decide to swap something more powerful in or build the EW, I just really don't see any need for all of the extra weight.

Great point Infinityzero..

I have a answer and a question for you..

I have taken the $300 John Force drag racing Course . Now I know what the champions do thus making me, in sense ,a champion. Now I know what John Force does so now I can drive like him and whoop on everybody..

Also How will anybody listen to me or take me seriously on any forum as a racer? If I do not, in turn, LOOK like a all out serious racer?

Oh mark you are so silly.

I want to stay naturally aspirated.. I do not want to make past my 100 HP. I already have header , intake and exhaust, webcam #40.. Thats more than enough to scoot me down a 1/4 mile..

I just read the fine print on the Turbonator and it suggests a 14 point cage.

I may consider it .. Everyone is telling me how 100 HP is not enough.. I am not that mechanically inclined but...

Why can't I just route my exhaust directly to my throttlebody like a turbo?? maybe make it run through a intercooler first then to my throttlebody. .. I made a quick sketch I was designing for my v-8 car. Should be similar on my EW engine, less 4 cylinders and motor position.. MR.D is close by me, maybe I can shoot my prototype DEI sketch to him ..

why not rep their name on the side of your car?

be careful for the welds on your intake manifold blowing and your floor pan falling out

Wow, I am loving all of these suggestions; I want so badly to build a car just like what you all are talking about one day. I do think you ALL are forgetting the most important part however. You're gonna need at least 3, no-no.... 4 tanks of NOS in your passenger compartment. Leave em' empty if you really don't want more power. And another thing... what color is your car going to be? You WILL I repeat WILL need to make a flame thrower come out of your exhaust in which the flame is made to match the color of your car.

Ok.. Enough jokes... I pulled all my bumper reinforcements out and pulled my whole front end off..I gutted and hollowed out the doors..I took out all the interior plastics.. I decided to primer her because I used a plasma cutter to cut off the inside quarter braces and bubbled the quarter paint.. here is some pics..
